Enjoy an afternoon of tea and cake with the brides closest friends and family. This is a great option if the bride has older relatives who want to be involved.  Make it extra special and try champagne afternoon tea.

If you are lucky enough to live near the coast why not head out for a picnic on the beach. Head to a local deli to pick up some delicious food and grab some wine before heading out for an afternoon on the sand.

Planning a wedding can be stressful so take your bride-to-be to the pool for a relaxing few hours. Get some fruit smoothies and pamper products and turn in into a mini spa session.

For the low-key bride plan a movie night where you can watch her favorite films with some pizza and popcorn. It will be a great chance for everyone to relax before the big day.

A relaxing dinner outside is a great idea for a summer bridal shower. Use wooden crates for tables and use cushions and throws for seating for a rustic setting. Candles and fairy lights will look great as the sun starts to go down, you could even get a fire going in the evening.

I work in the ecommerce team for Simply Be’s sister brand, JD Williams. When I am not in the office I can usually be found at the cinema or at the local pub enjoying a drink or two. My favourite way to relax at home is a long bubble bath with a good book or binge watching a boxset.
